Blowing raspberries at the Dalai Lama

Today we hired a guide, Tom, to take us to the Lama Temple and Confusius' Temple. Quinn was in quite the mood - every time we were on the move he laughed and cooed, every time we stopped to see something Tom wanted to show us, Quinn started loudly complaining. Tom led us inside the holiest temple with spectacular carvings of the Buddas of the past, present and future. It was quiet and contemplative, and Quinn took the opportunity to fill the silence with blowing a big, long raspberry complete with a wide spray of baby saliva. Our friend Russ looked over and said, "I guess Quinn is not a fan of the yellow section of Tibetian Buddism." Indeed.

Quinn and I rang the bell for happiness, good health and longevity:

We missed lunch because we ventured out this morning to find a t-shirt shop Tom had read about, and then Quinn napped through our lunch break. I was starving, so I bought an ear of roasted corn from a vendor and ate it as we toured. When we changed Quinn later Tom found a bunch of corn in his hood. Sorry, Quinn!
