Grandma Marj asked for an update on Quinn's progress, so here it is:
He does crawl, but from a laying down position. He loves to climb over things so we spend a lot of time letting him crawl around the bed and then pulling him backwards by his legs when he reaches the edge, which he LOVES.
His arm seems to have full mobility, but he chooses to not use it at all. Using Ronnie's advice, we hand him things from the right. And when he supports himself with the right arm he does it by tucking the arm under him and turning his hand palm up. We adjust it so his arm is in front of him and the palm is down - he uses it until he has a chance to go back to his old way.
He loves to stand and is getting better at it every day. Last night he pushed himself up for the first time that we've seen. At first he could only stand with me holding firmly under his arms. Now he stands with us holding him around the waist. And last night he stood just holding on to the back of the couch.
His favorite activity remains looking at himself in the mirror. Even if he's crying, if you hold him up to a mirror he breaks into an immediate smile. It's by far his most charming quality. We keep trying to get the perfect video of it, but haven't got it quite right yet.
He loves books and especially turning the pages himself. We brought several cardboard books and he can turn those pages quite well, which makes him very happy.
His favorite toy is his stacking cups, which he can literally play with for an hour. He figured out what to do right away and loves to put the cups together and take then apart. He also tries to put anything else within his reach in the cups - books, other toys, his bottle.
He has started laughing and babbling a little, which is great. He laughs when playing or tickled, and he babbles when playing by himself.
To sum it up, he is a great kid who rarely fusses and you can bring anywhere. He loves to be out and about and look at stuff. Let's hope that doesn't change!!

I missed the update on his progress report. Went to a craft show with Pat and she metioned the text so I came home and read it have no idea how I missed it. THANK YOU you covered everything very well. Barb Lewis called me yesterday about a book for Quinn at the craft show. You put a picture of his face on the last page and then there is a hole on each page so as you read the page his face comes up as the fireman, doctor, policeman. Cute and yas I bought one. Dad printed out time in Tucson and then time in Beijing, this will really help, should of done it a week ago.
Love you three.
